For this holiday season, we want to give back to those we partner up with so we’re featuring the Stern Grove Festival Association. The Stern Grove Festival Association is a nonprofit organization located in San Francisco and it is best known for the annual Stern Grove Festival, a free concert series that goes on for a 10-week span at the Sigmund Stern Grove, which is an outdoor amphitheater located on 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard.
The Stern Grove Festival Association’s main mission is to “make live musical experiences accessible to all.” And they have been doing that every year since 1938, including this year despite the pandemic lockdown. On August 16, 2020, the Stern Grove Festival Association kept the music going by hosting its first-ever virtual season finale to wrap up a season of online concerts. The finale itself featured artists like Michael Franti, Los Lobos, Ben Gibbard, and more. In addition to the musical festival series, the Stern Grove Festival Association also hosts an online arts education series that features various classes from music making to dance.
