STS Academy and RCF Connects
STS Academy is a nonprofit organization in Pittsburg, California, that provides before- and after-school programs, tutoring, mentoring, summer camps, and academic enrichment opportunities for children and teens to help them succeed in school and life.
They also partner with local schools and families to offer homework support, career-readiness activities, and safe, supportive programs that empower youth to thrive.
RCF Connects is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building healthier, more equitable communities across Contra Costa County by connecting residents to resources, leadership opportunities, housing support, financial education, and advocacy programs.
Their mission is to bring people, organizations, and resources together to create long-term community change and opportunity.
Nonprofit Spotlight:
Caregiver OneCall
Caregiver OneCall provides free, confidential 24/7 support for family caregivers who are caring for loved ones with aging, illness, disabilities, or special needs. They offer emotional support, caregiver coaching, resource navigation, referrals, workshops, and respite-related guidance to help reduce caregiver stress and burnout. Their goal is to ensure caregivers feel supported, connected, and equipped with practical resources, so they do not have to navigate caregiving alone.
Family Justice Center
Family Justice Center provides free, confidential support services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, stalking, human trafficking, and other forms of interpersonal violence. Services include safety planning, counseling, legal assistance, restraining order support, case management, housing and emergency shelter referrals, court accompaniment, and connections to community resources, all in one place. Their goal is to help individuals and families find safety, healing, and stability through coordinated, wraparound support.
